Added a "nationality" profile section

Complaints about the way the board is set up, requests for changes, that sort of thing.

Added a "nationality" profile section

Postby chris » Sun Sep 20, 2009 4:26 am

It occured to me that it's going to be easier to understand some arguments here if we can know the nationality of the people involved. I've added a (non-obligatory!) field to your profile so you can set this info. It will display to the right of all your posts, and on your profile page.

If you've already created a user, you can add the info whenever you want - click "user control panel" at the top left, then on the "profile" tab, a "Nationality" field will appear right at the bottom.

No swearing.

I don't see it, just see the slot for current location. I will admit that I am quite oblivious and am probably overlooking it, but here's a picture of what the main part of my control panel looks like in case it's a bug and not me.

It's not denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept

Ah. Hrhum. Sorry about that. Upon more careful examination of the settings, it would appear there is a separate button I have to click to say "allow users to see it in their control panel". It maybe always appears in mine because I'm an administrator.

Can someone give it a try?

Splendid. If anyone has any nice ideas for other things that might appear in there, let me know!
